Siam Country Club - Old Course and Plantation Course

The Old Course re-opened two years ago with new fairway grass and new shaped greens. This golf course has returned to it's former status as one of the best in the area and one of the best golf courses in Thailand. This and its sister course the Plantation are must plays to add to any golf holiday at a Marriott Hotel in Thailand. The original tight fairways have been transformed into wide ones, and the greens are in excellent shape but very tricky to putt correctly. The US LPGA is kicking off the 2010 Season this year tt Siam Country Club in February 2010 with a sanctioned event which will include all the top lady golfers in the world. The caddies speak English relatively well here and the Thai girls are very well trained. The club house is 1st class and offers a wide variety of food.

The Plantation Course is a relatively new 27-hole course with its own immaculate clubhouse. This new golf course layout will require some serious shotmaking to greens which appear to be upside down saucers. Greens vary in size from small to extremely large. The Plantation Course overlooks Pattaya Bay and winds through the hillside and valleys and offers some very interesting and challenging Par 4 and Par 3 holes. This has become a very popular golf course. The US LPGA played their opening event in 2009 at this course and 19 of the top 20 Lady Golfers in the World were in attendance and gave the golf course and service rave reviews. The caddies are very knowledgeable for such a new gollf course and the Thai ladies will tend to your every need during your round of golf. The club house is excellent and the service by club house staff is equally good.
